Why are we doing this?
The WWSVA Virtual Dog Show is a way to allow breed enthusiasts an opportunity to participate in the sport they love without leaving home and compete against dogs they would not normally encounter from across the country and around the world, let others see their dogs, learn more about their breed, and most of all have FUN. More importantly we felt it was a way to raise much needed funds to go towards the Swedish Vallhund PRA Eye Research.
ALL PROFITS WILL GO TO DR ANDRAS KOMAROMY EYE RESEARCH AT THE SCHOOL OF VETERINARY MEDICINE UNIVERSITY OF PENNSYLVANIA
An overview of how the WWSVA Virtual Dog Show process works
- Show information including the closing date, show date, available classes, and the judging panel will be announced in the "Virtual Dog Show Section" section of the World Wide Swedish Vallhund Alliance.
- All entries are made through the WWSVA Virtual Dog Show by emailing the relevant information and photos to be uploaded for competition.
- The window for making entries closes and the judging begins. Judges access a virtual judge's book and use the online tools to view the dogs and make their placements. The virtual judge's book is just like a normal judges' book and no dog, owner, breeder, or other dog information is visible.
- The results are posted as an online, marked catalogue.

Immediately following is the Best in Show competition. The Best in Show winner will be determined by the high scoring dog or bitch in the competition.
- Baby Puppies and Puppies are not eligible to compete for Best in Show. The winner will compete for Best Puppy in Show; the winner will be determined by the highest scoring baby or puppy in the competition.
- The judges will rely on their knowledge and experience and use the same criteria to judge the entries as they would if they were physically with the dog, as far as the pictures allow. There are limits to what can be achieved online so please keep in mind that this is all in the interest of good fun and amusement.
- The judges' decisions are final.
